Accessibility Statement

Histoki wants its website and museum guides to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the European standard EN 301 549.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This includes keyboard navigation, visible focus, text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, labelled controls, and respect for reduced-motion settings.

For museum guides

Guides built with Histoki support audio with written text, multiple languages and right-to-left scripts. Museums are responsible for providing transcripts and alt text for the content they publish.

Known limitations

Some interactive product previews on our homepage are illustrations of the app. If any part of the site is hard to use, please tell us.
