These terms govern your use of histoki.com and the Histoki platform. By using them you agree to these terms. If you use Histoki on behalf of an organisation, you accept them for that organisation.
The service
Histoki provides software to create and publish digital guides on museum tablets and visitors' phones, with tools for content, devices, audio, translation and analytics.
Subscription and payment
The plan is billed monthly in advance, plus any applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us a limited licence to host, process and display it only to provide the service. You confirm you have the rights to the content you publish, including images, text and audio.
AI-generated audio and translation
AI features can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing generated audio and translations before publishing them.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious code, or try to access systems or data you are not authorised to access.
Availability
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Termination
We may suspend or end access for serious breach of these terms. You can export your content before your account closes.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. Material changes will be notified to account owners by email.
